General guideline

The 25th annual meeting of the Japanese Society for Marine Biotechnology is organized by the Japanese Society for Marine Biotechnology with the aim of contributing to the academic understanding and use of the ocean based on biotechnology. The conference will cover a variety of research fields related to marine biotechnology, including cell biology, molecular biology, developmental biology, microbial ecology, environmental microbiology, bioactive substances, genomics, proteomics, bioinformatics, genetics related to fish and invertebrates, biomineralization, biomaterials, nanotechnology, and aquaculture technology. The symposium will promote understanding, dissemination, and development of the current state of marine biotechnology research, networking, and collaboration among industry, government, and academia.

Presentation format 1. Oral presentation: 15 minutes including Q&A session
Awards will be given to students for outstanding oral presentations.

2. Poster presentation: Please prepare portrait A0 size poster.
Awards will be given to students for outstanding poster presentations.
We plan to allow posters to be displayed for two consecutive days, and to swap presentation with odd and even poster number after defined presentation time, so that poster presenters will have time to listen to other poster presentations.
